When I grow up...

For the past week we have been talking about different jobs that grown-ups have. I have been asking the children what they want to be when they are grown up and I have gotten many fantastic answers. We have everything from future astronauts to future farmers in our classroom. This Friday is going to be "When I Grow Up" day. I am asking that each child come to school dressed as what they want to be when they are older.

Smiles the Tooth Monster

Today we had a very special guest in the Busy Bee classroom! Dr.Katz, a local dentist, came to teach us all about how to keep our teeth healthy and happy. The kids had a blast brushing the teeth of a giant plastic mouth and playing with Smiles the Tooth Monster. We learned the importance of brushing our teeth and flossing everyday. At the end of the visit, each child recieved a shiny new toothbrush! I look forward to seeing everyone's smiling faces again tomorrow!
